Trees belong in the forests but forests are on the decline due to human intervention. Nevertheless, there is something both pleasing and satisfying in the sight of a tree. This is the reason why we plant them or preserve them in our gardens, parks and other public places.
Indoor Trees
There are novelty style houses and deliberately rustic lodges where a house is built around the trunk of a large established natural tree but not that many examples of people actually planting trees inside buildings. As growing things, trees need nourishment and climatic conditions not normally found indoors. Additionally, even evergreen trees like pine shed leaves and fruit, etc that are fine for the forest floor but not so good on a lounge carpet. Also, a normal tree will keep growing and could well out grow the indoor space it had been planted in.
Apart from specialized places or those with large maintenance staffs, trees would seem a bit of a “no-no” for indoor planting. Yet, many people would still like to share their indoor space with the greenery provided by trees.
Artificial Indoor Trees
These would solve all the size, maintenance and lifetime problems associated with bringing real, living trees indoors. But, do Artificial Indoor Trees offer the same aesthetic appeal as the real ones?
Think of the first attempts at artificial indoor Christmas trees. They were usually cheap, did not shed pine needles and, at least, did not require the cutting down of a real tree. Today’s Artificial Indoor Trees will usually have leaves made of finely crafted dyed textile material (such as silk or polyester) affixed either to a real (preserved) or artificial wood trunk and branches. To a casual observer, they will look just like the real thing. The better examples even feel real to the touch. Should the example be an artificial flowering tree, not only will the flowers be realistic replicas but they will last forever.
Artificial Indoor Trees can be bonsai small or made to any height or width required to suit their indoor position. Any type of tree can be replicated along with plants such as palms, bamboo, or even cacti. Where applicable, the leaves of Artificial Indoor Trees can be colored to reflect seasonal changes. For example new spring or full autumnal leaves. Usage of Artificial Indoor Trees is as boundless as one’s imagination.
